Installation notes: Please install the top shelf with raised edges upright to keep laundry machines secure and to allow water containment in case of leaks. Pedestals work best in pairs as they are structurally more solid when connected together. If purchasing for the dryer, one is ok but it is recommended to purchase two when using it for the washer. Connecting the pedestals together virtually eliminates walking and reduces excessive shaking. Prior to installation of laundry machines on pedestals, please ensure they are properly leveled. Adjust the leveling legs as necessary to ensure there is no wobble and that machine is even on all sides. This helps to ensure the machine is balanced and helps to reduce noise and excessive vibrations during the spin cycle. Newer and more advanced laundry machines have improved anti vibration technology, however, if your machine does not have these features or your shocks are wearing out, it may become necessary to use the provided rubber pads to help alleviate vibrations. To install the pads 1) remove the adhesive 2) raise one leg of laundry machine at a time 3) stick pad onto bottom of leg and slowly and gently lower onto the pedestal. If there is still significant noise during spin cycle, we highly recommend thicker rubber or EVA foam pads that can be purchased separately on amazon from other suppliers.
